All about Albums in WordPress

An album is  a collection of images just like the Gallery. What makes it different from a gallery is that, an album can contain galleries and even albums inside it. Confused? Don’t worry…just go through the post, you will get the idea.

An album is  shown below:

In the above picture, both ‘Images’ and ‘My School Photos’ are two albums. Clicking on one will open the corresponding Gallery as shown below.

Before starting albums , you must know how to create Galleries.

Create atleast two galleries.

Now lets see how to Add Albums.

Goto Gallery-> Album

Give a name for the new album and click Add.

In the select album option, select Album 1 as shown below.

Click and drag existing Gallery or Album(If you have any other existing album) to the newly created album as shown below.

If you need Gallery1 and Gallery2 to be shown in Album1, drag and drop those two from the “Select gallery” box to “Album ID 1: Album 1″.

Update the album.

Type the following code in a page/post to display the album.

Publish the page and check your blog.
